- I can afford the Uber to get myself to the airport?
- I can afford a meal before my flight leaves?
- I can afford a hotel if needed?

If you answered ‘YES’ to all the above then please proceed. If you answered ‘NO’ to any of the above then kindly postpone and DM me.
I remember my first time flying to met an individual I had been dating for a few months. I was 18 years old and I thought I found the one. He paid for the trip and I was thrilled. On the morning I was scheduled to leave, we missed my flight. I had about $64 in my account and the cheapest return flight was $163. I was embarrassed as the guy left and I was too terrified to ask him to buy another flight. I phoned my family and friends to help me buy a ticket back home. Young and naive. I sat and cried as I waited for the notification that the money had hit my account. I was devastated, embarrassed, and honestly too upset. My trip was horrible, (details in another blog) and all I wanted to do was go home.
This prompted me to ALWAYS have my own and furthered my sense of independence. I encourage women to make sure they have the power to leave uncomfortable situations financially. Too many scenarios we see women be taken advantage of because they are dependent on someone financially. I challenge you to rise out of that position and explore ways to manage your money.
The internet has tons of resources for money management. If you need additional guidance, I offer one on one trainings to create an effective budget for your lifestyle.
